Forge Nano to Manufacture Industry-Leading Li-Ion Batteries Powered by Atomic Armor™

Forge Nano secures commercial agreements to enable US production of anode and cathode active materials. These engagements will promote pilot-scale production of next-generation, domestically sourced batteries that outperform foreign, incumbent technologies, with processes that are more efficient, cost effective, and environmentally responsible.

DENVER, March 21, 2023 –  Forge Nano, Inc., a global leader in precision nano-coating technology to implement pilot-scale production of American-made batteries using their proprietary Atomic Armor™ surface technology. This will support a robust and protected supply chain for next-generation, domestically sourced batteries and give the U.S. the advantage it needs to compete with the global market.

“Our strategic partnerships are an important step in our commitment to strengthening the domestic battery materials supply chain with new technologies that are more precise, more efficient and better for the environment,” says Paul Lichty, CEO, Forge Nano. “With Atomic Armor, we are building industry-leading batteries that outpace existing batteries on the global market in terms of performance, lifetime and safety. This alliance is exactly what the U.S. needs to be competitive in the global Li-ion battery market.”

Atomic Armor is the application of Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) coatings done with the speed, precision and know-how that will unlock a product’s performance and scale beyond anything imaginable. This cutting-edge technology improves existing battery materials, resulting in higher capacity and safety, while making batteries charge faster and last longer – all at a lower cost. The combination of Forge Nano’s Atomic Armor will bring the highest performance and lowest cost materials to the market.

About Forge Nano

Forge Nano is changing the way that materials are made. With our proprietary Atomic Armor™ using Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) technology we allow manufacturers to engineer their materials, down to the individual atom, in a way that is scalable and cost saving. The superior coatings produced by our Atomic Armor™ process allow us to unlock a material’s performance at the atomic level, optimizing characteristics like conductivity, thermostability, and corrosion resistance, to name a few. Our team of scientists have worked with an expansive portfolio of commercial partners to develop custom solutions to meet any need at any scale, from small-scale R&D and laboratory work to large-scale, high-volume production lines. Our technology is being made available to a wide range of applications, from consumer electronics and lithium-ion batteries to medical devices and 3D printing.
